Modern Assets
I work with women who want more. More for themselves. More for their friends and family. More for the planet and all the people who inhabit it. Because I want more for my clients, myself, my community, and especially for my sons and the world they’ll inherit.
I started this journey with a prestigious internship in asset management at TCW after studying Applied Mathematics at UCLA. It turned into 13 long years, overseeing over six billion dollars in bonds for pension funds, institutions, and banks. The experience left me with a deep skillset, and a deeper longing to be free of an industry saturated in privilege, misogyny, and self-interest.
I don’t blindly take orders that I know will harm more than it will help. I’m not the person who will identify the CPA who will help you pay zero taxes or help the fabulously rich get richer with no deeper motivation than their own self-interest. I believe that healthcare and education should not be tied to a profit motive, and that deregulation has harmed more than it’s helped.
If you don’t like my politics, you won’t understand my economics. You won’t get investing that considers collective well-being in tandem with personal profit. You won’t accept a little less market return for yourself so that those without the privilege of being a shareholder don’t suffer for our self-interest.
I’m outspoken and opinionated. I’m a fiduciary for my clients, but also consider me a friend and fiduciary of our planet earth, of social justice, and good governance.
So here I am, working to change our reality in the way that I know best — one powerful woman at a time.
